Anchor Capital's role as an investment manager is an ongoing one that assesses a number of disparate factors to accommodate client needs and objectives with a long term management outlook to optimize the achievement of client objectives.

If you don't know where you are going,
any road will take you there. –Lewis Carroll

Investment management attempted without a comprehensive plan is likely to follow any road. Investment management must be carried out professionally, based on sound data, with discipline and according to a client focused plan. Anchor Capital's management of client investments; the plan sets the guidelines for investment decisions on behalf of the client. The difference in our approach is apparent to our many satisfied clients.

Anchor Capital's Anne Chernish has more than three decades experience as a professional in the financial services area, and specializes in the management of assets for clients. Anchor uses an ongoing analysis of market conditions, economic and political trends, international events and other information to assess the viability of various asset classes as well as individual equities and bonds, and directs the placement of client assets in those classes. Anchor Capital is not a broker, but works with a client's broker or a broker mutually agreed upon. Typically lower costs are associated with brokerages that are not obligated to provide the research and client support that is part of the investment management provided by Anchor Capital.

Investment decisions are made after construction of the "big picture" through research and rational, not emotional, steps to representing client interests with their financial assets.

Comprehensive Financial Planning

Comprehensive planning is an ongoing professionally-administered process that brings together a wide range of essential information to examine the current status and a set of desired future objectives for a client. The process takes account of the clients purposes for accumulation of assets in order to fulfill long-term core values.

The professionally managed financial plan can be viewed as a six-step process: establishing and defining the client-planner relationship; gathering client data including goals; analyzing and evaluating the client's financial status; developing and presenting financial planning recommendations; and monitoring the financial planning recommendations.

Within this framework, the comprehensive plan provides thoughtful interrelationships in several subject areas, including asset management, estate planning, financial management, retirement planning, risk management as well as tax planning. Each of these are addressed with respect to the individual client and the client's identified and agreed-upon needs and goals. This set of agreements are reached after consideration of personal and financial goals, needs and priorities, client values, attitudes, expectations, and time horizons as they affect the potential outcomes. Client focus is essential in this process.

The comprehensive plan develops recommendations for the achievement of long term wealth enhancement, wealth transfer, asset protection and charitable giving considerations.

The professional planning process offered by Anchor is designed to identify, clarify, and analyze all of the relevant factors affecting a path to goal achievement. The process may call upon other professional advisors for specialized knowledge regarding legal, tax, estate or other technical areas to develop an optimal financial plan.

Where a client has had an ongoing relationship with a broker, accountant, lawyer or other professional, Anchor works with those professionals to develop and administer a comprehensive financial plan. Where there is not a viable relationship, Anchor Capital will suggest professionals with appropriate qualifications to meet special tax, planning, or estate needs.

The individual financial plan can then be used as a roadmap for the implementation of specialized legal, estate, trust or other tools, and for the ongoing management of assets in a way to best achieve the goals identified and agreed upon.
